TEACH Construction Privacy Policy

This policy applies to TeachConstruction.org and our teacher platform, my.teachconstruction.org.

What we collect

We create each teacher’s account ourselves, using only their name and school email address. We create accounts only with a school email domain.

We do not collect any information from or about students. Students open our resources through links. They have no accounts, usernames or passwords with us, and we do not record grades. Our link service, Short.io, counts how many times a link is clicked. With each click it records the time, browser, device type, referring page and approximate location. IP addresses are not stored. We use this only to see how often resources are used, never to identify a student or teacher. Short.io keeps individual click records for one year.

How we use it

We use a teacher’s name and email only to provide access to their subscription and to contact them about it. We do not sell, rent or share this information. The only exceptions are the service providers that host our platform, or where the law requires disclosure.

Our resources are delivered through the services below. We do not send teacher names or emails to them. When anyone opens a resource, these services may collect technical information, such as IP address or cookies, under their own privacy policies:

Where information is stored

Teacher accounts are kept on our platform, which is built with Softr and Airtable. Both Softr and Airtable store this data in the United States. Link-click records are stored in the United States. We are a U.S. company and have no office in Canada.

Security

Our platform providers encrypt data in transit and at rest. Only TEACH staff can access teacher accounts.

Cookies and analytics

my.teachconstruction.org uses cookies only to keep teachers signed in. TeachConstruction.org uses Google Analytics to measure overall website traffic; we do not use it to identify individual visitors. We do not track visitors across other websites, so we do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep a teacher’s name and email only while their subscription is active and delete it when the subscription ends. Teachers can ask to see or correct their information at any time. They can also ask us to delete it, which ends their access to the platform.
